Orange Pineapple Mint Margarita

by Allison Cawley, Jun 09 2016

While vodka is my spirit of choice, I love mixing other drinks into my summer rotation.  That's where tequila comes into play.  I wanted to change up the typical margarita by making a refreshing summer drink, the Orange Pineapple Mint Margarita.  While this might not exactly be the trending "skinny margarita" that's growing in popularity, this spin on it doesn't leave you with a heavy feeling that traditional margaritas sometimes do.

Ingredients You'll Need:

- 1 Part Tequila
- 2 Parts OJ
- 2 Parts Diet Tonic Water
- 1/2 cup of Pineapple
- 3 Sprigs of Mint
- 1 Taplespoon of Agave Nectar
- Lemon
- Ice

Recipe:

  1. Muddle the Pineapple & Mint in the bottom of a glass.
  2. Mix in the OJ, Tequila, Agave Nectar & Diet Tonic Water.
  3. Add ice & a squeeze of lemon juice.
  4. Top with mint & enjoy!

If you don't have Agave Nectar, you could still use simple syrup, but I love incorporating a natural sweetener like agave nectar when I can.  And when you make this Orange Pineapple Mint Margarita, make sure you've got enough to share... the hubby took my extra drink and tried to finish mine! hehe... I'm just excited that he liked it! :)

So cheers to keeping cool and refreshed this summer!  And don't forget to check out PeachfullyChic.com for more great recipes and summer fun.

xo,

Allie
