Skinny Chocolate Chip Cookies

by Lynn Lilly, Sep 16 2015

If you have a huge sweet tooth like me you are always craving a sweet treat. These chocolate chip cookies are  a"skinny" alternative with only 50-60 calories per cookies and they taste delicious! Using substitutes like dark brown sugar and egg whites make these cookies a not so sinful treat! The smaller size of each cookie also controls your caloric intake and is the perfect amount to satisfy a craving.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup of dark brown sugar
1 large egg white
3/4 cup all purpose flour
2 tbsp salted butter softened
3 tbsp water
2 tsp vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/8 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
4 ounces of chocolate chips
Directions:
  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, cream softened butter with oil and sugar.
  3. Add vanilla, egg white and salt and continue to mix.
  4. Add flour, baking soda and water and combine until the mixture turns in to dough.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips
  6. Drop teaspoons of dough of a greased or nonstick baking pan.
  7. Bake for 6-8 minutes or until slightly golden.
Enjoy! xoxo- LL
