National DIY DAY Ambassador| 100Things2Do | London, ON

100Things2Do.ca started as a challenge to myself.  I was home with my two young girls and needed to come up with a way to entertain them and keep myself sane in the process.  The blog began with the "100Things2Do This Summer" checklist and has evolved to include refinishing, repurposing, building and crafting as well. It is A Home & Lifestyle blog featuring crafts, DIY, organization and family fun.

The most challenging part is the behind-the-scenes mechanics of blogging is tedious. Keeping up with the latest social media trends and timing your posts for optimum exposure etc.  I'm a creator, I just wanna create and share.

Please share your favorite creative quote:

Can you tell us your biggest craft fail?

I fail so often it's hard to narrow down - probably that I am so eager to complete a project I often rush the results. Patience is not my top virtue.

What is one piece of advice would you give someone wanting to start a blog or creative business:

Please don't start a blog unless you LOVE what you're sharing. Despite all of the pins on Pinterest telling you that you can make 6 figures right away - that's a one-in-a-million scenario (literally). It's a long haul of learning, working, creating and negative income to trudge through if you don't truly love what you're doing.

Where do you get your creative inspiration?

Pinterest, magazines, television shows: I love the evolution of an idea, taking a concept and changing it or manipulating it into something different or unique.

What are you most excited about for National DIY DAY?

DIY'ing!

In 5 years, what is your goal for you and your blog?

Celebrity status - for an introvert. lol I'd love to have 10 million or 100 million readers, features in magazines and perhaps a television how-to here and there. Mainly I want to continue having fun trying new things, laughing at myself and (hopefully) bringing a chuckle into the lives of others.

Please share with us a fun fact about yourself:

I watch pottery videos on Instagram to relax.
